Almost no one really cares whether their search engine tracks them

This isn't simply about whether the majority cares. It's about educating and creating awareness for those who may. Everyone deserves options. It's okay not to want the info. As long as I can say I've done my part to share my knowledge, I'm at peace.

This is the second time you've had a salty response to one of my threads regarding privacy and security. Am I violating a RP policy or are you personally, or RP staff, completely against my point of view on such topics?

No no, I'm just trying to respond with my thoughts on the search engine privacy matter. Of course you aren't violating any RP policy; it's good you are sharing this w others. You are doing a good job :)

CPT Aaron Kletzing - Most threads, including this one, needs a negative Nancy to balance the opinion spectrum. "Almost no one" means some do. This is for them.
