Ask any project manager to name their greatest bane and I bet they'll all say the same thing: Scope Creep. And with more stake holders, scope stops creeping and starts running. I'd say she has a valid point. If the other branches see value, let them wait for the final product and make any needed modifications, but don't screw up the Army project.

she was flying back when the RAH-66 Comanche was the next big thing. Scope creep, cost over runs, and massive delays killed that dream. i bet she is thinking of that with what she says. problem with the Comanche was that it was an all Army helicopter and they still managed to kill it.

Okay. I see the need for a new multi-million heavy left helicopter but this looks like contra rotating blades which the Aumir Force could use for para-rescue. The Navy could use it as a more stable ASW platform. The Marines could use it as a heavy lifter. So why not make it a joint mission develpment?
