Heh that's some old school shit right there. Tech (specifically transistor tech, which is the base of EVERYTHING electronic/computer) advances have been pretty amazing while they lasted. We're approaching the physical limits of it, though -- I think the new intel chips are like 11 nanometers. Not a lot more room to shrink before we have to come up with something else. Fun fact, you probably have something on the order of 1000x the computing power that put men on the moon, right in your pocket (smartphone).

SN Greg Wright No doubt, that is why Intel, AMD, and others are really looking hard at Quantum Computing. I have always wondered when "Moore's Law" would break down because of the limits to our current tech.
I knew that about the moon computers. A friend of mine, who was on an Aegis Cruiser in the early 2000's, used to joke that they could buy a single Dell laptop and upgrade that systems. Tongue in cheek, yes. It does have a ring of truth to it.
