Much like the end of airline pilots and truck drivers.
What are we going to do with all these people when computers run everything?

My son-in-law has a tractor that can plow his fields and harvest his crops without an operator.

Whenever someone makes the claim that some new weapon system will make some predecessor weapon system obsolete, I say BS (and the fool who said it probably never studied history).

Post WWI: Airplanes were going to make big capitol ships (like battleships) obsolete. It didn't happen. Battleship defenses got more sophisticated and a new capitol ship ship was developed, the aircraft carrier.
Post WWI: Tanks were supposed to make trench warfare obsolete. Didn't happen. There are many places tanks cannot go due to terrain, forest etc. i.e. Tanks couldn't ferret out the Viet Cong from their trenches and mole holes.
Vietnam Era: Fighter planes don't need guns if the have missiles. They built the F4 without guns because they thought it would be able to take out any adversary with missiles. A year or two later, they started modifying the F4 to add a gun.
Cold War: Nuclear Weapons would make war unthinkable. Didn't happen. It just made war different. Proxy wars became popular. Special Forces made it possible to fight limited wars. Regional wars (i.e. Gulf War) with non-nuclear aggressors are common.
Cold War: Multi-role fighter aircraft (i.e. FB111) are the wave of the future. Not True. All the FB111s went to the boneyard before their time.

I have no doubt drones will increase in use, especially in high threat environments where you don't want to deal with the politics and propaganda of a downed pilot. However, there will be a continued need for human eyes to direct fire or do BDA based on rules of warfare etc. Drones will be an integral component of a networked system of aircraft to include: high volume weapon delivery vehicles (C5, 747), manned fighters (F35), tankers (KC10, KC46), AWACS, manned controlled drones, and semi autonomous drones.
