In a state with a lot of Concealed Carry, I think pulling the sword might be a "magnet" for lead.

For the 1st couple of days it will be a novelty, then no one will care. It is the same as when open carry was rolled out. But, I am polishing my Navy Officer's Cutlass!

Does that include broad swords? Scimitars? How about lances? Actually, given the flooding in Texas, harpoons might be a better choice.
