Interesting that they (USA Today) would use a gaucho as an example instead of the more traditional vaquero/cowboy. It looks like in Texas that I can now carry my kukri or my buckaroo knife without too much of a problem.

I love Texas for all of their open carry laws. The only problem, and it been proven, that a white man can open carry a weapon, one cop will stop you and ask to see you permit and id and tell you to have a nice day. Later that afternoon, they took a black man, armed him and had him walk down the same street. A cop saw him, pulled over, and got out a drew his fire arm and ordered the young man to the ground. 5 other cop cars show up before the one cop wld even talk to him let alone approach him and disarm him. They treated him like a criminal from the second they saw him. Mind you, earlier that day a white kid never had to hit the ground. No other cops came. The double standard is really out of control. The apologized for it. But when confronted with the tap and the way these two men were treated totally different, the only difference I can see is the color of their skin, they refused to reply...this predudice has to stop, at every level. From top to bottom...
