Interesting article. I disagree with it, but too many points to go into. But it's the author's opinion. I'll just say that natural selection doesn't equal opportunity. And that's from a non-liberal viewpoint. But thanks for sharing. I enjoy seeing how other people think.

If equal opportunity were truly equal, there wouldn't be a need for gay rights, etc. it's because minority groups often are not afforded equal opportunity that these issues surface in the first place. For example, in many states today, you can be fired from your job for being gay. So you can have two identically effective employees, and one is a male who puts a photo of a female he loves on his desk, and there is no problem. But the other is male worker puts a photo of a man he loves, and he can be fired for being gay, and "flaunting it". That's not having an equal opportunity. It's things like blacks with identical financial assets as whites being denied home loans or business loans simply because they are black. They did not have an equal opportunity for financing to create a business, or buy a home in an area with good schools.

If people truly support equal opportunity in theory as they claim, then they should support laws that provide equal opportunities in reality.
