Equifax says 2.5M additional individuals potentially victimized during data breach

It seems the usefulness of credit reporting agencies is coming to an end. In this case, the vast storehouse of information Equifax and the other credit reporting agencies have, is more a liability than a benefit. Perhaps it's time to outlaw the holding of so much personal information by a single (or multiple) private agencies.
