That is why the EU Terrorism Situation and Trend Report (TE-SAT) was created in 2007 so that the European Parliament and all national governments and police forces have an overview of the European situation on an annual basis. Since the first report, which gave an overview of the situation in 2006, many things have changed. Although it already appeared that the internet played an important role in the radicalisation of some perpetrators, and terrorists showed a preference for improvised explosive devices, the terrorist landscape has further diversified and the threat has increased."

There are a lot of Islamic areas in Europe not assimilating. The Internet, though useful, only spreads the Koran and Muhammad's words of war.
Homegrown my arse. It's been going on for 1400yrs. Radicalized? Was Muhammad and is his marching orders radical? Are the Apostate laws radical? It is all Islam. Both Shia and Sunni.

Homegrown is one of those items that seems to be put out by many different places -- as you seen in some of my article posts.. US, Philippines, Thailand.. and Europe.. all see it as a way to ratchet it down. Why is a question that is never really explained to the populations. How effective has it been in doing so? Would be good if Lessons learned were looked at by different countries of the same enemy they are fighting.. vs the approach that has been taken.
