Eye of the storm: Airmen fly through year’s first Pacific hurricane

one of my geology professors was aircrew for meteorological flights during WWII - they flew from the northeast point of Brazil to the nearest point in Africa - the shortest distance across the Atlantic - and the day after they flew back - the whole war, back and forth - for the weather in Europe.

Those Hurricane Hunters out of Biloxi, Mississippi really earn their money.
