That is interesting PO1 William "Chip" Nagel that the FBI is advising people to reboot their router [assuming proper security on the computers systems is current] to thwart a sophisticated malware system linked to Russia

I read some of the advisories and the greatest threat is for those that never changed the default passwords for their routers. There are lists of the affected hardware out there, so if in doubt read up and take action. I think it is related to a planned cyber attack on Ukraine. The malware is unique because it is persistent. Too detailed for me but it basically means it survives routine actions to defeat it, and left unchallenged can remain as a backdoor to your network and terminals. https://www.symantec.com/blogs/threat-intelligence/vpnfilter-iot-malware
