Senegal is one of those places that can be a model for West Africa, if not the rest of Africa. It sits in a very vulnerable place, nestled in an area where trafficking and terrorism is very common, yet it remains stable for the most part. The reason why is because of its willingness to work and learn from international militaries. Though there are some vulnerabilities, the Senegalese military is very vigilant on border security. International cooperation is very important to Senegal and the rest of West Africa to foster and environment of stabilization.
