It would be really cool to have a visible supernova in our lifetime. The last one was 415 years ago in 1604.

Excellent report on Betelgeuse and the possibility that it could go supernova at any time... yet it is a variable star and has had periods of dimming and getting brighter...so it will be very interesting to see what happens... Great post, 1SG Steven Imerman
