This is a sad situation, to be sure. Presumably, if people are given their green cards, then they have been vetted and deemed safe to enter. To arbitrarily send them back just because of their country of origin despite they had green cards and visas already seems wrong.
If we have to restrict entry to people, I really wish they would restrict those who have not yet applied or have not yet been approved vs. this kind of scenario. This seems cruel and incongruous with our ideals /values as a country, to me. We are a nation of immigrants after all, and there are children involved.
