I think it is difficult to maintain perspective unless you are close to the situation, as I am.
There is more than one group out there protesting. Indeed, on any given day, I see a mishmash of five or so in Minneapolis. The original protest regarding George Floyd's killing at the hands of MPD is very much still out there every day. That is something most if not all of us can get behind.
But there is also an anarchist element, who wants to burn it all down.
There is a criminal element, that uses the crowds as camoflauge and the preoccupation of police as an opportunity to loot.
There is a counter-protest element, out there to verbalize their disdain for one or more of the groups above (lot's of videos of those YOLOs).
And there are regular folks out there that have the misfortune of living in the protest/ occupied area trying to go about their daily lives with limited success.

In any of the above groups, there is much to be critical of. But to lump them all together is a disservice to all.

SO BLM et al can say and post whatever they want but someone else exercising their right to free speech is wrong...don't get me wrong racist tirades are racist tirades on both sides of this and it has to stop but both are exercising their rights...what is good for the goose is good for the gander.
