Rear Adm. Mark Montgomery stated, "Renew the Navy's noble tradition of remaining out of politics," the report recommends. It also suggests the service "limit social media accounts and activities by Navy officials" and "remove all political and sociological topics from Professional Military Education and replace them with essential warfighting courseware."
Then the unnamed officer,"Sometimes I think we care more about whether we have enough diversity officers than if we'll survive a fight with the Chinese navy,".
I guess you need to be anonymous or retired to state the truth about reality in the Service these days.

The headline is stupid and only written that way because the study was commissioned by a Republican. What the actual people on the deckplates said is important. They think they are worrying more about stuff that has nothing to do with them winning a war, which is their primary purpose. Their lives are the ones on the line.

Well Leftenant, in my 27 years as an enlisted man, I did not worry about what my superiors or my men's politics were. I cared about our mission. You are racking out the Republicans indicates you might be part of the problem. Quit virtue signalling and get back to work killing people and breaking things. That IS the job. All the rest is feel good bullshit. I agree with RADM. Montgomery.
