As of Jan. 17, the Army's Child and Youth Services program had 12,000 positions systemwide with 2,657 vacancies, according to Army Installation Management Command (IMCOM) officials. SGT (Join to see) - No, I said "semi-fake", because it is not totally false. The fact may be that some communities are curtailing some child care services due to a lack of personnel, and it may even be tied to the hiring freeze, however, as pointed out (but not in the article), such workers are exempt from the hiring freeze, although they do require approval. All the commander need do is request approval. To blame it on the hiring freeze is disingenuous, at the very least, and simply demonstrates the anti-Trump media spin.

Welcome to the reality of a government in 20 trillion dollars of debt. I know it is tough medicine but this is the chickens coming home to roost. We, as a country, have been fiscally irresponsible. I know people pay for these programs but my guess is they likely do not cover the costs. The plan is well thought out. It is intended to wake people up to reality. Welcome aboard.

The armed forces need to focus on combat readiness, combat effectiveness and efficiency. To make an argument the military has been harmed because a part time day care program has been cancelled in Weisbaden, Germany is nonsensical. Oh the inhumanity of it all! The armed forces is collapsing, Weisbaden daycare is inoperative. The nation is at risk, the sky is falling.
