This is crazy!! The government is having trouble to get funds because of the timing of these hurricanes coming in... This is why it is important for everyone to come together and take care of each other whether you are active duty, veteran or civilian. That is really crazy PO3 Jacob Jenkins - Congress needs to get up and do something besides (nothing, which that have been doing since Trump took office). Take care of the American People - do what the hell you were paid and elected to do or get the hell out (resign if you're not going to do anything). Quit wasting the American's Tax dollars playing games. Legislate!

End of year fiscal year is bad- spend what you have left or you don't get the same the next. Worst system ever- now when we could pool much needed resources for something tangible....empty pockets.

Mark Heick - Was a good thing and a bad thing. I had trouble stopping the drinking when I got back to the states. However, I did and a casual drinker now.

The Federal Emergency Contracting Agency is a federal agency whose main duty is infusing cash via contract in the wake of disasters PO3 Jacob Jenkins.
Like all federal Agencies they are funded year by year. Unlike other agencies they are infused with funds by the U.S. Congress after disaster strikes.
Of course the benighted folks at NBC will be acting like Chicken Little at the end of a Federal fiscal year. The Senate just approved the federal Aid bill for Hurricane Harvey relief so funding will be available after the President signs the bill.
I expect Texas FEMA has capabilities that NBC is not interested in discussing.
