Female Afghan Pilot Seeks Asylum In U.S., Sparking Fierce Debate

This is a shame, I met her (when I was there as an Air Advisor) and attended her graduation when she earned her wings. At the time she was full of hope and motivation to make a difference in her country. She also inspired many Afghans (both men and women). The people I still speak to in Afghanistan have confirmed to me that things have become much worse with the pull out of coalition forces. All we (the military advisors) can say at this point is we told the President so before he went against the advice of his military leadership.
