I'm sorry but I would rather go camping then being in the field but being infantry it was different for us

The outdoorsman in me enjoyed some aspects of being in the field, but after growing up in the northwest part of the country it's hard for me to match being in a pine forest on a mountain somewhere.

That being said, about half of my 'essential' outdoor stuff is made up of items I packed around on multiple deployments.
