If you are on the ground there is no one better flying cover for you. Time on station and weapons plus that 30mm gun will keep the wolves away from your door.

Used to love watching the Myrtle Beach AFB A-10s mock dogfighting at low level over the Santee-Cooper Lakes system while they were waiting their turn on the Poinsett Range. It was amazing how they could turn and jink.
