I would say that the conservative media is just as quick to dismiss the whole Russian dust up. One thing this mess has taught us......all media sources could do a better job.......very little comes out from either side that isn't biased.

While I agree that little comes out of both sides that isn't biased, I think that's not necessarily a bad thing. Very few people are capable of reporting on the news in such a way that they don't give away their personal biases. Ted Kopel was the guy I considered to be the best at that. I would trust him to give me the news in an unbiased manner. But guys like him are rare.
Since people in media are more inclined to show their biases, I think the best thing is for them to be open and honest about their biases. And I think the right is far better at that than the left is.

While I do not disagree with what you are saying, I do think that there has been a fundamental change in the mindset of journalist and within journalism. I think there are multiple reasons behind this, not the least the 24 hour news cycle and news media moving more toward entertainment, but those are excuses. The one good thing for We the People, the access to raw information has never been greater. That access is what opened my eyes to just how biased and corrupt our current batch of information gate keepers really are.

It's not really blind dismissal. If you make wild accusations and present nothing to support them, and other credible sources say you are wrong, there is no reason to take your claim seriously. Period.

Well, if other intelligence agencies speak against this and there is literally nothing behind the accusation except Trump's word for it, then there is nothing to this.
There is no reason for anyone who doesn't apriori accept this as a thing, to accept this as a thing. You'd essentially have to argue that people should accept Trump's word at face value.

The problem with intelligence agencies is that while they're supposed to remain apolitical, they don't because the heads are appointees of the sitting POTUS. Then there are the stories you see about the Secret Service agent and CIA agent who resigned because they "couldn't serve in good conscience" or whatever lame excuse they used.

Well, the conservatives were all about how great the FBI is when they were going after Hillary; so perhaps what they have to say about Trump's accusation is relevant? Oh..
Well, let's look to where Trump got this information from to begin with. Breitbart, a white nationalist syndication. Whew. Hard choice on who to go with on this one.

She's absolutely right. After eight years of slobbering for Obama, the media has lost its credibility among many Americans. Ironically, a lot of good journalism is probably going to get swept away with the bad, because when journalists do their real job when digging up stuff on Trump, it will be hard for them not to be seen as political hacks since they didn't apply those same skills to Obama when they had the chance.
