For 1911 models I prefer my Remington in stainless. Looks as well as it shoots, and eats whatever I feed it.

CPT Lawrence Cable
I picked up one of the Turkish made TISA 1911-A1 Government models. I wanted something as close to my old service carry piece as I could get. A surprisingly well made handgun. It does have some "upgrades", lowered ejection port, flat mainspring, a beveled mag well, and a much better trigger. Still has the rather minimal sights of the original, but I shot expert with them for years. I've shot some cheap ammo through it with no issues.
