Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that in 1914 Charlie Chaplin made his first screen appearance as the “Little Tramp,” the character that would become his best-known onscreen alter ego. Silent moving pictures were amazing to those who viewed them even as WW1 began.
Now we take it for granted that moving pictures and virtual reality are commonplace.
With photoshopping widely available now, what you see is not always what happened. However in 1914 what you saw was what really did happen.
