Further down the rabbit hole. This is in MCRD San Diego, so it's not real recruit training... You have to go to Parris Island for that. You know, of all the things I miss about the Marine Corps, recruit training is not one of them.

Just feeling a little nostalgic today.

I just can not imagine DI's working in this PC environment. I think they might have been mean in 1975. I thank them for giving me the foundation for a good career!!!

Not real recruit training at MCRD San Diego? Yeah right.......they left out the part where we got our issue of sun glasses and Coppertone lotion. It was really tough sunbathing on those Marine Corps issue lounge chairs too. And our TV's didn't even get HBO......it was a real bitch. You guys had it tougher at the Island for sure.
