It is very troubling. And my granddaughter just joined the
AF Aircraft Mechanic career field.

It is a good field to be in I was in it for several years. With the old prop jobs we flew Bob Hope around and the fancy folks that joined him, I was able to see many sights I wouldn't have seen if I haden't been flowm in to change an engine. Or flying thru a harricane to see how high the wind was in the eye. Just little things like that. The only one that bothered me a bit was photo shooting a forest fire. Tell her it is a great life.
