A Pinellas County Iraq war veteran was killed by an alleged drunk driver while riding his motorcycle on New Year’s Eve.
Just hours before being killed, 31-year-old Matthew DeRemer of St. Petersburg, went on Facebook to reflect on 2015 and outlined his plan to better himself in the coming year.

That is an awesome and inspiring thought he posted. It's unfortunate he met an untimely death. I'm sure he would have continued to inspire many.

Its sad to lose a person to someone else's carelessness. It never fails to amaze me how people can get drunk on there own and then kill a perfectly innocent person and then walk away from it as if nothing happened.
