Hand-carried and tank mounted flamethrowers were one of the most fearsome weapons in WWII SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
It took courage for a soldier to carry a flamethrower into battle because the tanks were vulnerable to direct and indirect fire.
