Florida County Rolling Out Armed "Workplace Marshals" In Gov't Buildings

While it has become typical for the nanny-state politicians to scream "We need more gun-control" after events like the shooting in Virginia Beach, we keep seeing the tragic-results of more gun-control - more dead bodies, not all government leaders think that way. You may recall that, after the Valentine's Day massacre at Marjorie Stoneman Douglas High School, Sheriff Grady Judd, Sheriff of Polk County, Florida, put together the School Guardian program, and by the time the next school-year began, had trained enough School Guardians to be able to have an armed Officer at every public school in the county. Sheriff Judd is leading the pack again, with a Workplace Marshall Program, which is intended to replace "No Firearms" signs with trained First Responders. That is good news, particularly in Polk County, where I live. Sheriff Judd loves to say "When seconds count, help is minutes away", and as our Sheriff, he knows the "lay-of-the-land" in Polk County better than anyone else.
