"When he first started, Scott barred lobbyists from entering his office. He brought in other outsiders as his top staff and initially talked about aggressively pushing his agenda through the Legislature. That changed, however, after legislators scaled back, or rejected many of his ideas, including his push for massive tax cuts. Scott then turned to Tallahassee insiders to help him negotiate with the Legislature"....he actually did something I wish MANY other candidates either IN office or RUNNING for office would do. It didn't work for him, and I think that was due to outside influences (if a lobbyist knows you, they know at least ten more who can get the job they want done). The very fact he TRIED means a lot to me in the respect dept, party doesn't matter. I'd like to hear from a FL resident what they think of him and where has the state progressed and regressed with him at the helm?
