It's all good. The super smart Californians and New Yorkers are filling the gaps left by the ideologues that are leaving. Their net gains in population outweigh the exodus, so it will end up a positive.

Got to laugh at the hit piece. California is going bankrupt and has the highest homeless rate and highest illiteracy rate in in the nation. California has a $32 billion deficit while Florida has a $22 billion surplus

COL Randall C.
Sgt David Fortin, as long as people remain within the community standards* and follow the proper guidelines* on posting, then they can pretty much post what they want to the community.
What the admins do try to accomplish is making sure that the posts from the members are properly tagged so they are appropriate to the discussion. However, as you can imagine, there are thousands of posts each day and we can only correct what we come across when we look through the forums.
The problem with bias is that what you deem bias, someone else may deem a fact (or at least a likelihood). Most partisans on the left view anything coming from the right as biased and the same goes for the partisans on the right.
I absolutely agree with your premise that there are many stories (and sites) on the internet which are usually bogus and really not worthy of the time it takes to close the tab and move on. However, they are a symptom of the extreme partisanship and not the cause. Yes, they feed into it, but those that will believe it are the ones that are open to the partisan stories to begin with and frankly they will go search out whatever story reinforces the echo-chamber of ideas they have.
Completely made-up news and just a half-step away from partisan news that cherry-picks information to bolster one view but never gives context. The left and the right are guilty of that. Why? For the same reason those left and right garbage sites do. Outrage sells.
As I tell others, I suggest you take my approach - close the tab and move on if you know it's nonsense, and if you don't, and it is something that has your interest, then research it to see if it is true and if you feel the need, then combat what you view as misinformation with information that refutes it.
Otherwise, if you block someone, you'll no longer receive notifications that they posted something even if you are following a category they post to.
