My opinion; She realizes that a Judge is not going to be swayed by the Legal Drama that a good lawyer can bring during final arguments to a Jury. I'd rather it be just a judge if I were to go on trial. Some of the jurors would look at me and think guilty ... just because.

Interesting. I'll have to noodle this one over. I'm not sure I fully understand the implications of forcing prosecutors to try before a judge instead of a jury in these cases. It may be one of those wait and see ideas where we have to view what the consequences (good and bad) are in practice.
