Florida sheriff warns 'hotheads': 'They will shoot you' in 'stand your ground' cases

An Uber driver fatally shoots another vehicle driver. That other driver stated they were armed and then threatened to shoot the Uber driver after forcing them to stop their vehicle. Lessons learned?
- Don't threaten to shoot someone and think that may not lead to the other person thinking their life is in danger and acting appropriately.
- Particularly at night, when you have something in your hand that may be a gun.
The only thing I'd disagree with is that this is a "classic stand your ground case" as the sheriff states. The other driver first forced them to stop and then threatened to shoot the Uber driver while pointing something in their direction. That seems like a justified shooting in a non stand your ground state too, very little opportunity to retreat when someone blocks your car, threatens to shoot you while pointing something at you that may be a gun at close range.
Edit to add: One of the best things that Uber driver did, long before he needed to use that gun, was think ahead and get a dashcam.

"Here's a message for the hotheads of the community: don't do that stuff," Judd said. "Good people carry guns. And they will shoot you a lot. Graveyard dead. Leave people alone. It's a new day in the state of Florida and the United States."

Another justified self defense case people just don't realize that not everybody is going to back down since he was on probation he probably wasn't authorized to own a firearm in the first place
