I hated the alarm when I was at Shank from May to July '12. Meant a long long day for my platoon. We were FOB QRF at that time until 3rd BDE 1AD left country.

SGT Jonathon Caldwell - Yes, sir. I was across the street from Aviation. I forgot where the ANA compound was, but I'm guessing it was near the bigger gym close to the PX.

SGT (Join to see) - Even when the IDF hit the internment facility in '09. To add insult to injury, they called the riot that followed a "disturbance" even though it was so bad Purple Hearts & CABs were awarded.

1SG (Join to see) - I'm not surprised. There were quite a few CABs awarded even after '09 and probably up to the day it was abandoned.

SGT (Join to see) - As of 2013 it was still running, they just moved it closer to the surrounding mountains (to make it easier for the insurgents no doubt).
