CPT Stephanie Lincoln This is kind of sad. As a flight Superintendent, I never had an enlisted troop fail a PT test, mostly because I was always out front leading my enlisted and junior officers in PT, and in overall wellness. I guess when indigenous leadership fails you have to look for outside help...

I'm guessing you were active duty then? Things are a little different in the National Guard. I can PT the crap out of people for two days but then it's up to them to do it themselves for the next 28 or 29. And guys and gals in the NG don't get PT as part of their "duty day" which they have to attend. Granted, it's still their responsibility to stay in shape. I'm not making excuses for them. But leadership has very little to do with it. You see the same things happen to AD guys when they go on leave and come back fat.
