Scientists have predicted that climate change will continue to exacerbate massive storms, and that it will continue to cause conditions ripe for wildfires and other natural disasters.

Trying to claim people have something to do with hurricanes hitting North Caroline is nonsense. In recorded US history, 416 hurricanes have hit North Carolina. It's the fourth most hit state in the country. Before 1900, 139 hurricanes hit NC. Between 1900-45. 75 hurricanes hit NC. Between 1950-1979, 79 hurricanes hit NC. From 1980 to present; 120 hurricanes hit NC. If "Climate Change" is a factor, then why so many hurricanes before 1900? There is no evidence of an increasing pattern of hurricanes due to anything. More people are affected and the cost has risen, because more people live near the water.
