One Standard - One Fight. There should be no more differences in a standard based on gender. If the line scores are even across the board, then we can see where we are failing, and retrain. Some locations units require more physical effort than others, which I so not see an issue, because no matter the MOS, you are a Soldier first.

Warning: I'm about to say something extremely unorthodox.
How about we get rid of the APFT altogether? Let individual units set their routines and standards however they feel they need. This will eliminate the need for the increasingly elaborate standards and won't create the potholes for soldier's (I.E. a dental technician fails a test by one pushup, WYD?)

SGT Aric Lier There are several underlying assumption there which are wrong. All I can do in a length of a comment is recommend reading about the Swiss Wars of Independence.

SGT Brian H. Don't judge so quickly, you don't know me. In fact, you have no idea who you're really talking to, and even if you did my opinion wouldn't be less valid than yours on this matter.
