Just an update - The first round of Focus RS's are on ships headed to US ports, and the first US/Canada owners should be taking their RS's home as early as June.

Regarding my "order" - my dealer can't provide me any specific information, other than my order is processed, the dealer has the allocation and they'll let me know when it arrives.

On a side note: I came across this Ford dealer in Ohio (http://www.lebanonford.com/forms/727hp-mustang) that sells 600/700+ mustangs for up to 40k. Granted, i'm not sure how well the drive train of the stock mustang would hope up to 727hp - but for the price, it's a good deal and with another $10-15k in drivetrain, brake and wheel upgrades...it would be pretty slick. They also have some pretty solid F-150's that they've "added" to.

Already looking forward to those RS pics. I'm going to Vilseck next year so, it wouldn't make sense to get a new car now, just hope that dealership stays on business until I come back! LTC (Join to see)

SGT(P) (Join to see) - I'm sure Lebanon Ford in Ohio will still be around...I think they've been around for quite some time. I got bored and priced out a carbon fiber drive shaft, left/right half shafts, and a big brake kit - all rated for 1000hp or more - for the Mustang...all in all, you could have a 727hp beast with solid drivetrain/brakes for 48-50k. Still cheaper than the hellcat and even cheaper than the GT350R and GT500. I would still beef up the suspension...but still, that's a pretty solid price for someone who likes power.

And way cheaper than the Galpin Rocket with 2 extra HP, like that would make a huge difference right? For the time I make it back, I'm pretty sure I'll be on my way to make SSG and I'd have save enough money to get me one of those as a Promotion Gift. I think the Galpin is over the $100k, I would have to wait to make SGM to get one of those.

This past weekend, Ford Performance sent me a letter to attend their one day driving school in Utah (TBD) and a small scale model of the RS. So I'm assuming my order is legit now :) I was getting worried and starting to look at the Mercedes AMG A45. But I'll be content with the RS, as it's a lot cheaper.

LTC (Join to see) I'm SURE you'll enjoy that RS, now, just yesterday I signed my reenlistment papers. I'm going to Germany next year and I could get that A45 for the same price you paid for the RS. I check the price already, €24K. Congrats in your awesome purchase!

Just kidding, I still don't know what I'll get whenever I get there.

SGT(P) (Join to see) - the A45 is a monster if you're into the hot hatch scene. Unfortunately, I could only get the sedan here in the states. What part of Germany are you going to? I've been to Stuttgart and enjoyed my brief time there - I wouldn't mind doing an entire tour in Germany :)

LTC (Join to see) So far, Vilseck, but if I get promoted, and I will, this year that could change. Is just what regs says even is not that often that it happens. I'm suppose to be there for 3 years, so I really hope it doesn't change.

SGT(P) (Join to see) - they are being built in Germany as I type this. They will not ship to US dealers until "spring 2016" according to Ford - which means mine should be ready for pick up around July...lol. It's going to be an impressive car for sure.

LTC (Join to see) I wonder what would be Subaru and VW's answers for this. The Evo is out of picture now so I won't include it. Will Dodge bring something good with the Dart SRT-4? I can't wait to see this new level of sports cars.

SGT(P) (Join to see) - I'm sure Subaru's R&D division is already cooking up something. VW - they may lay low given their current state with the diesel emissions scandal that they are currently involved in. Regarding Dodge - that's a fair assumption that they'll release an updated SRT-4 model. I'm curious to see if this sparks GM's creativity in the hatchback/small car market as well.

LTC (Join to see) I really liked the last Caliber SRT-4 when it came out, I don't know why they killed it. MazdaSpeed3 was nice too, I wonder if we're going back to those good old times were even Isuzu had the Imark Turbo.
