Political prisoner in Egypt on trumped-up charges. He is Canadian and is only crime is converting from Islam to Christianity and being gay so when he went to Egypt they said he was a spy for Israel . he has served 10 of his 15-year prison sentence.

This story was in part 1 of today's newspaper and it troubles me that Canada's put up with this for 10 years. Csis is the Canadian version of the CIA FBI

It's gotta suck to consider someplace home, that is hostile to who you are as a person. I'm surprised that during the recent government transitions we have seen in Egypt, no one managed to get him out of prison there...

I guess Egypt does not recognize dual citizenship just like Iran doesn't. This guy should not have gone back to Egypt.
