LT Brad McInnis As with everything, there is good and bad. The ice bucket challenge wouldn't have been able to raise nearly as much money as it did without social media. The #MeToo wouldn't have kicked off like it did without it.

SFC Jordan Gaudard I totally agree with you, I just find it a little (okay a lot) hypocritical that when they developed this there were going to be these problems yet did nothing to moderate it a bit. If they knew the problem, and did nothing to try and put a governor on it, but took the money... I just think it is sad that after all these years they are trying to say that now there is a problem, but they knew about dopamine response when they developed it and it was an integral part in the beginning... But, yes, a lot of great things have happened as a result....

Massive social innovations always case chaos until we adapt to them. It is the nature of the human beast. I do not think than anyone had a clue what this revolution was going to cause for the good or bad. Well Not Everyone John Brunner had a pretty good Idea with his book "Shock-wave Rider' in 1975.
