He will not enjoy his sentence! But once again a youth organization becomes a target by a pedophile.

Already asked and answered on another post on RP but I will include it here since you appear intent upon more anti-theist propaganda

Really? Feigning no agenda? Based on your anti-theist positions, clearly just an attempt to discredit Christianity in specific and religious faith in general. Unless, you can point to a specific dogma or doctrine of his sect or congregation that encourages the conduct of which he is charged, you are merely an anti-theist propagandist. Or if your logic has some validity (it doesn't) then we need to keep an eye on every lawyer in the vicinity of 10 year old boys, (we don't.)

I want all sexual predators identified, tried, and convicted. You are being obtuse. Once again what is your agenda. Is there an reason you are only posting church leaders, but refuse to articulate?

Of the two posts of multiple similar I've read so far, there has not been a trial. Are you in favor of the court of popular opinion over the justice system. I guess you can stop practicing law and just hang around bar arranging vigilante lynch mobs.

Hypothetical question: if any of these people are not convicted, will you post those news items also, under the heading religious leader falsely accused?

Capt Gregory Prickett - Once again obtuse. Are there no other sexual predators, keep posting these. But is your concern sexual predators or Christianity?

Maj John Bell - so now you are trying to censor any news that may be detrimental towards sexual abuse in Churches? Isn't that how the problem got as large as it did in the Catholic and the Southern Baptist Churches? By keeping quiet about it? Could it be that as a Christian, you don't want any negative publicity at all, and you would prefer that critics shut up? Is that why you're expressing your concern here, to see if you can limit negative commentary?

Capt Gregory Prickett - Sexual abuse in churches...?

In any of the cases you listed, did church doctrine or dogma sanction the acts of these men?

In any of these cases you listed did the leadership of the churches discover the abuse and then try to cover it up and/or interfere with a law enforcement investigation. There are many of those cases.
_The Roman Catholic Church
_The Southern Baptist Council had 300+ documented cases from 1987-2018
_The Jehovah's witnesses kept a data base of reported sex abuse allegations (10,000+ reports, 1000+ alleged abuses) and never notified law enforcement.
_Presbyterian Church USA missions to third world countries
_etc. etc. etc.

I asked what your point was..., that is not censoring, it's giving you the pulpit. But for reasons I can only guess, you refuse to answer.

Could it be your agenda is not protecting people from sexual predators? Are they only a means to an end? So please answer my question, what is your point running a serie s of similar posts. If your concern is sexual predators, why not run a spectrum of cases showing that it can be any "trusted" person; teachers, police, military personnel, family members, post men, lawyers, the ice cream shop owner, etc. etc. etc. Once gain why the focus on the sexual predators with documented connections to a church? Don't bother asking me another question until you answer mine.

I can't speak for anyone else, but IMO certain classes of people are held to a higher standard. Lay leaders, caregivers, youth group supervisors etc. are entrusted to be of impeccable character. If not professionally, at least morally. It's more bothersome to me when they abuse their trust than when John Q Citizen does.
