He's on point, and there's more to unpack here. Yes, there's a severe lack of gratitude...but I think it's deeper than that. I think once you hit your thirties, you begin to forget how inane you were in your teens and twenties; life is an excellent professor. We try to "understand" that which cannot be understood. To my mind, not only are younger people less grateful...they're not being made to stand in line and wait their turn like everyone else had to. True, every generation sees itself as the "chosen one"-I know I did. Again, time is a great teacher, but those of us who currently lead are possibly giving too much credo to the "hope of the future", when what's needed is more time for folks to "fully-bake". Ah yes, the Internet...bane of modern existence that it is. Here again, it's about maturity. One used to have to jump through a few hoops to be heard and get their "moment"...that's been somewhat overturned by the "blogosphere", and social media (admittedly, to include forums such as this one). Socialism makes perfect sense to anyone who NEVER has enough money to do what they must... let alone dream for the future. It is the perfect panacea for those whose life experience is enough to unmask injustice, but not enough to cure them of being naive. Give such persons too much "air time", and the "adults" begin trying to debate them...rather than mentor them. Just my opinion.

Here is something to activate the almonds . . .

These are schools that veterans are attending either through G.I. Bill, Chapter 31, or some other means and are being subjected to this indoctrination. Some are becoming converted, and those of us who refuse to fall in line with this garbage are subject to "bias councils" or some other method of punishing wrong think.
