I remember he was referred to as Tricky Dick. I remember when he left office and left Ford as president. A person that wasn't even elected to the office of VP was now President.

I had the honor of serving as a volunteer staffer at President Nixon's funeral. It was my freshman year at the University of Southern California (USC), and I was in the College Republicans at the time. It was a deeply moving experience, and a very memorable one too, as I was an eyewitness to a piece of history.

I was in high school the year this happened. One teacher was a devoted follower and studier of him.

One of those cases that are referred as "everyone does it, he got caught". Unfortunately, unless you are a fan of history this is all that is known about President Nixon, the Watergate Scandal. As for your comment about VP Ford. It is still the same. Many people were and are afraid of something happening to President Obama as that would make VP Biden the President.
