Sir, I'm glad to see these matters starting to get some resolution. Sadly for myself and other women who served in the 80s it's too little too late.

And the 90's and the 0's and the teens... A friend of mine was in the NG as a lawyer. She could not understand how all these NG Soldiers suddenly felt it was ok to say the most awful things to her everyday in Kosovo when back home where she worked with some of them everyday and never heard anything like it.

It is bad enough when an immediate supervisor pulls this stuff, but Senior Command? When will we become the fighting force we once were?

Sir, SrA Chris "Shadow" McGee reporting and administration of sexual assaults has gotten much better...and I would match our fighting force against any era you choose... we are still the best trained and deadliest force the world has ever seen....!

I agree completely COL Lee Flemming. I just want our men and women to know that each person they serve with has the others back and isn't going to be singled out due to race, religion, sexual orientation, age etc. We should be acting the way we want everyone else to act, not abusing our positions.

This is a real issue and I saw it and dealt with it first hand while at Bliss (and every other station). I believe we just have to respect one another for our part and role while serving our country. I was married and knew that if I were single, then I would have dealt with a lot more, possibly even rape, like most of my fellow female soldiers. On the flip side, some of my best friends and experiences came from the military with several being male. I just wish we could form a cohesive unit and respect one another despite of race, color, orientation, etc. We are all just beings with a heart and soul, trying to do the best we can while in this temporary body. Okay, off my soapbox now :) Have a blessed and beautiful day! Bonnie
