Fort hood is a big post with no 1st CAV & 3rd ACR. When you have so many troops and civilians on one post, the stats will be higher then other posts.

Not defending the report or speaking favorably for Fort hood. Last three years there was in 2nd CHEM BN and I haven't forgiven the post for that yet.

If you don't like Hood then either request a transfer to another post or do your time there. Granted Hood is not for everyone but you raised your hand and took the oath when you joined the Army.

I did my time. Still love hood. Been there twice. I learned a lot on that post.
2nc CHEM had great people that I got to work with every day. It was just so different then the combat units I lived and breathed most of my career.

PS: just read my statement and that auto correct makes me look like a dumbass. I type fast and assume I'm hitting the correct letters on this small screen, and end up looking like a complete jackass. Sorry about that.

Why do you hold the post accountable for one man's actions? I was also at Hood for the last two shootings - I don't blame anyone but the guy holding the gun.

I don't think you are tracking the statement I was responding to, and took my fort hood statement as a negative. I was joking regarding not forgiving Fort Hood. The joke is something only a few would actually understand and get. Those troops that would understand are from 2nd Chem.

I'm perfectly fine with some people reading something I wrote and not getting the message, or hating it.

Have a nice day.

Been at Ft Hood for a couple years now, pretty crazy thinking this stuff happens as often as it does so close to home.
