I had to chuckle when I read the phrase "After months of analysis," that the Army in its infinite wisdom [sarcasm] has announced it will remove hundreds of horses from Fort Polk and offer them in small groups to animal welfare groups such as the Humane Society for inclusion in their adoption program SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL.
So the plan is to capture wild horses and imprison them in animal welfare

I remember the feral pigs on the patrolling range back in 1967-68 as an instructor ,many a night/ ambush patrol was triggered by these animals ,of course the snakes and other wild life on post made life interesting to say the least!
