This is rare song but very popular song from 1982 and 1983 that I heard on the radio that remind me of the early 80s Good Times.
Sirius XM Radio channel of Pitbull Globalization radio channel 13 sometimes does interesting dance mixes of the past.
I'm sure the electronic Funk and the new wave electronic crowd were both pleased by this song.
This is actually an English jazz -funk freestyle post -discogroup that could sound a little bit like Grandmaster Flash or Depeche Mode.
The song was an international hit. The record scored #2 in the UK Singles Chart[1] earlier in 1983 before reaching the top of the Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart in the U.S.,[2] giving them their only chart-topping single on any chart in America. It then became the 20th best-selling single of 1983 in the United Kingdom. "I.O.U." was used for the 1984 breakdance movie, Beat Street.
