My comments and RP persona are very similar to when I was AD. In today’s Navy, I wouldn’t last a week.

MCPO Roger Collins - I am with you on that. They couldn't not find a place in today's Navy that I would accept if even offered!! The sad thing is that sailors like you and me as welll as many here on RP, IS exactly what today's Navy needs!

LCDR (Join to see) I don't care how advanced it is, You could NEVER get me to be a sub sailor. I liked my liberty and port calls, and looking out over the sea at sunrise and sunset and the smell of the ocean! Sub duty would never suit me.

I was asked prior to "A" school if I would be interested going to sub-school. I vehemently replied oh hell no, since what goes down doesn't necessarily come back to the surface all the time. Additionally I enjoyed the countless port visits and liberty call. Watching the sun setting on the fantail , and getting a glimpse of the sea life as we traversed through the seas. So with that said I never regretted the decision in getting surface Warfare qualified and haze gray and under way!
