I doubt that religion or faith plays a large role in President Trump's life. I don't think he has ever made such a claim. Naturally the anti-Trumpers hold his minimal religious footprint up to discredit him; almost as if they wish to establish a religious test for Federal Office. And of course if religion or faith was a driving force in President Trump's life, the same people would hold up his religion or faith as a disqualifier because the religious "cannot separate their faith from their politics."
This is not about President Trump's religion, or faith, or spirituality; or lack thereof. This is nothing more than another sputtering attempt to discredit President Trump. What I find absolutely stunning is that there is so much more fertile ground to sew doubt about President Trump, yet this is where some choose to apply their effort. Ridiculous, absolutely ridiculous.
Candidate Trump did not "win" the general election in 2016. Candidate Clinton and the DNC merely managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. I suspect the DNC will have an even tougher row to hoe in the next Presidential election cycle. While I and many like me are not overly fond of the President's persona, I don't have much to complain about his presidency.
Here's hoping the RNC and the DNC figure out quickly that their loyalty should be to their constituents and not their party. But they won't

It's not some random attempt to discredit the man. He campaigned on his faith, which is obviously tenuous at best, and people are quick to point out the exaggeration.

I don't have with Trump's religious position. What I do have trouble with is the hypocrisy of the religious right that is quill to condemn anyone on the left that shows no religious preference, all while supporting Trump. It is very plain that Trump has the morals of an ally cat. And yet he is supported by the right's "evangelicals."

Did any evangelical vote for Clinton? The Kennedy clan? Were they condemned? Most of us believe in freedom of religion and also freedom to not believe, if that is your choice. Lots of hate from the atheists, but where do you see the hate speech from the evangelicals for the non-believers?
