It is like a parrot lives here. Until 2 days ago not one word about automation then some idiot at some liberal rag puts it out there and the band wagon jumps right on board. Blah, blah, blah automation, blah, blah, not enough training.

The whole thing is a crock of shit from people that wouldn't know a automobile plant from a dildo factory. These are the same people that brought you the Great Trump Stock Market Collapse. The same one that is breaking records with people investing in manufacturing.

Toyota Manufacturing in Georgetown, KY employs 8000 people. (Not to count the 100's of sub factories all over the area that employee thousands more people.) What! You mean a place that did not ever have a single person ever work in a automobile plant makes cars? How is that possible? They trained them. Crazy I know. People that can learn a job without a 4 year English degree? How is that possible?

What about all those robots running around stealing jobs? Ah, ever seen a robot pull a bunch of bolts out of a box? Me either! "CAUSE THEY DON"T!!!! Oh they can make them for about a cool half mil, but why??? Do you really need a $500,000 robot that it's only job is to pull bolts out of a box? There is a person that can do the same job for about $800 a week? How about the robot that has to go get that box of bolts. A mil for that guy. So by the time you are done you have a billion dollars in robots to make 10,000 $20 toasters. My economics is a little rusty, but if I carry the one...the answer is....you're dumb ass will be out of business before the first one is sold. You show me a single robot that does the job of 800 people and I will be the first to whip out a wallet 'cause I want one of those things.

Does nobody remember Henry Ford? In case you forgot, Henry Ford perfected the assembly line. You know where a person had one job and then it moved to somebody else. That person could not build a car to save their life, but they were the best at putting 3 bolts in a transmission. Every person does not need to understand injection molding at a injection molding factory. One guy needs to know that you keep the hopper full, another needs to know that he needs to push a button, another needs to know ....etc. You get the idea. Not rocket science here folks.

For the life of me I have no clue how liberals have came as far as they have. Maybe Darwin was wrong.

Well SGT William Howell China has eliminated 60,000 manufacturing jobs.
From the article: "We are applying robotics engineering and other innovative manufacturing technologies to replace repetitive tasks previously done by employees, and through training, also enable our employees to focus on higher value-added elements in the manufacturing process, such as research and development, process control and quality control.
"We will continue to harness automation and manpower in our manufacturing operations, and we expect to maintain our significant workforce in China."
BLUF, like I said in another thread, the days of low skilled, manual labor of our parents and grandparents are drawing to a close. The manufacturing jobs that used to be prevalent aren't as plentiful as they once were or are getting shipped overseas. If you don't keep up with the changing of the tides, you can and will get swept away by them.
That's not "liberal spin." That is innovation and technological advancement.

What this whole thing is going to do is make other companies BIG CORPORATIONS, hold the GOV hostage by threatening to move overseas, unless they get a tax break..

While there is some validity to the fact that manufacturing jobs are being automated or going away there is a reverse argument there.

How many Jobs have gone overseas to automated plants there? If a plant that shuts down fires 1000 people and starts up else where and employs 300 that's still 300 jobs that should have been in the US. The manufacturing jobs are there they are just overseas where labor is cheap. All the textile company's in the US moved due to Union Labor being to high a cost. That's Americans out of work and whole regions economy being destroyed. look at Detroit and the Auto industry.

On another note I find it galling that the Right, the Left the Media, and Obama are trying to dump on Trump. He took time out of his Thanksgiving to get a deal made that kept a company and 1000 jobs in America. Where was Obama? Where were the detractors in the Left and Right? The man has not even been sworn in yet and is acting more presidential than the current president. While a 1000 jobs doesn't sound like a high number that's 1000 Families, who support the local economy, who shop, go to school, pay taxes, ect. The White House Press Secretary making snide remarks on Trumps actions continue to show proof of how ridiculously childish The current administration is.
